The Spring Statement on 23^rd March was designed to be a simple update; a chance to inform the public of the Office for Budget Responsibility’s (OBR) latest economic and fiscal forecasts.

However current events meant that The Chancellor delivered something between the update he originally planned and a full-blown Budget. The Statement didn’t contain many policies, but the ones that were there were significant.
